Ceremonies for our late Chairman Deniz Baykal

A farewell ceremony was held for our late Chairman Deniz Baykal in the morning at the Republican People's Party Headquarters.

The ceremony was attended by CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, party leadership, MPs and provincial presidents; former CHP Chairmen Murat Karayalçın, Hikmet Çetin, Altan Öymen, former party leaders and MPs, Baykal's family and party members.

Baykal's coffin, wrapped in a Turkish flag, was brought to the garden of CHP Headquarters.

A second ceremony was held at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) for our late President Deniz Baykal.

The ceremony was attended by Deniz Baykal's wife, Olcay Baykal; his son Ataç Baykal; his daughter Aslı Baykal and their relatives; Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Şentop, Vice President Fuat Oktay, CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, CHP executives and MPs, İYİ Party Chairman Meral Akşener, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, Democratic Party Chairman Gültekin Uysal, DSP Chairman Önder Aksakal, Grand Unity Party Chairman Mustafa Destici, Turkey Change Party Chairman Mustafa Sarıgül, Hometown Party Chairman Muharrem İnce; AKP Deputy Chairmen Numan Kurtulmuş and Binali Yıldırım, AKP Group Deputy Chairmen, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, former Prime Minister Tansu Çiller, former Parliament Speakers Bülent Arınç and Cemil Çiçek; Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, Antalya Mayor Muhittin Böcek, Mersin Metropolitan Mayor Vahap Seçer, Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan, Ağrı Mayor Savcı Sayan, Yenimahalle Mayor Fethi Yaşar.

The Grand National Assembly of Turkey ceremony began by reading Baykal's curriculum vitae. Then a moment of silence was held.

A funeral ceremony for our late Chairman Deniz Baykal was held at Ankara Ahmet Akseki Mosque.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Şentop, CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, former CHP chairmen, CHP executives, MPs and provincial presidents, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, Democratic Party Chairman Gültekin Uysal, Future Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu, Grand Union Party Chairman Mustafa Destici, Country Party Chairman Muharrem İnce, Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and Baykal's family, attended the funeral ceremony.

After the ceremony, Baykal's coffin, wrapped in a Turkish flag, was carried on shoulders for a while and then taken to the State Cemetery for burial.

The ceremony at the cemetery was attended by the Baykal family, CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, Parliament Speaker Mustafa Şentop, AKP Parliamentary Group Chairman İsmet Yılmaz, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli and many politicians.
