CHP Chairman and National Alliance Presidential Candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu: "My brave people"

- "I want to prepare Turkey for disasters and increase the resilience of our cities. Who can do this task best? Of course, Ekrem Mayor does. There is only one person in Istanbul and in the history of the world who built ten metros simultaneously. We will give this task to him. It is he, Ekrem Mayor, who will end this terrible urbanisation. We need to strengthen the household economy rapidly. We have a lot of work to do in the fight against poverty, from Family Support Insurance to women's employment. In addition to this, we need to realise technological breakthroughs and agricultural development that will develop and strengthen Turkey. Which brave person will do this task? Naturally, our President Mansur will do it. I will also trust him with the country's technologies."

CHP Chairperson and Presidential Candidate of the National Alliance Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu said, "Dear nation, today I am addressing you together with my Vice Presidents. Ekrem President is on my left, and Mansur President is on my right."

CHP Leader and Presidential Candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu shared a video on his social media account this evening, with the note "My brave people", in which he made statements together with Ekrem İmamoğlu, the President of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) and Mansur Yavaş, the President of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB).

CHP leader and Presidential Candidate Kılıçdaroğlu, IBB Mayor and Vice Presidential Candidate Imamoğlu and ABB Mayor and Vice Presidential Candidate Yavaş made the following statements:

Kemal KILIÇDAROĞLU: Dear nation, I am addressing you with my Vice Presidents today. Ekrem Mayor is on my left, and Mansur Mayor is on my right.

Let's focus on something other than the latest developments; we mind our business. So don't look at them; provocations cannot be the agenda of this country.

Do you know what is on the agenda of our people? There are economic problems, poverty in the kitchens, and rent problems; earthquakes, floods, and disasters have happened and are likely to occur in our country. Therefore, we need proper urbanisation, strengthening our cities with the right housing policies and structures.

I want to prepare Turkey for disasters and increase the resilience of our cities. Who can do this task best? Of course, Ekrem Mayor can do it. There is only one person in Istanbul and in the history of the world who built ten metro trains simultaneously. So we will give this task to him. It is he, Ekrem Mayor, who will end this terrible urbanisation.

What is another issue on our agenda? Social policies. We need to strengthen the household economy rapidly. We have a lot of work to do in the fight against poverty, from Family Support Insurance to women's employment. In addition, we need to realise technological breakthroughs and agricultural development that will develop and strengthen Turkey. Which brave person can do this task? Naturally, our President Mansur will do it. In this regard, I trust Mansur Mayor, who has taken over the lousy administration in Ankara with his populist policies and has carried it to a completely different place with his practical projects, one after the other. I will also trust him with the country's technologies.

Ekrem İMAMOĞLU: Thank you, Mr President, this beautiful country has unfortunately experienced the most significant destruction in the cities in the last 20 years. With multiple laws, institutions and regulations, partisanship and discrimination, our cities have regrettably fallen far behind the modern world. However, with the experience I have gained in municipalism and Istanbul, the largest city in the world, we are ready to bring cities to the most modern level in the second century... We are ready, Mr. President, for the happiness of the whole country, to transform Turkey into one of the most important logistics centres of the world, not with unplanned highways, but as an integrated network of rail systems, airways and roads, and to make all our cities and residential areas earthquake-resistant and civilised.

Mansur YAVAŞ: Thank you very much, Mr President. By restructuring the social state understanding, we will hopefully rebuild a structure in which nobody goes to bed hungry, is not left in deficit, and is not deprived of their right to education and quality nutrition. By removing the burden of foreign currency from farmers' backs, we will create a model that works, produces and is self-sufficient with our rural development supports. We will succeed in the land, air, blue homeland and cyberspace, in 7 regions and 81 provinces, in significant strategic and national technology studies with excellent staff and the brilliant youth of our country.

Kemal KILIÇDAROĞLU: Thank you, in the presence of all of you, I sincerely thank both of my Presidents. Dear nation, we will work hard. We have no other choice. We are far behind the world agenda and will work hard to close the distance. Come on, Presidents, we say Bismillah.
