CHP Chairman and Presidential Candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu Spoke at Van Nation Rally

CHP Leader and Presidential Candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu attended the Van Nation Rally together with Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.

CHP leader and Presidential Candidate Kılıçdaroğlu said the following in his speech at the Van Rally:

- "I know that great injustices have been done, democracy has been trampled on, elected officials have been removed from their posts. I promise I will solve all these. We will end that strange practice called trusteeship completely."

- "I have 306 labourers dismissed from the municipality; I will reinstate all of them. Wherever there is injustice, I have to fight injustice."

-" There are those who got high scores in KPSS and were eliminated in the oral examination. Gentlemen do not like those who are eliminated from the oral exam. Therefore, I will abolish the oral exam; we will appoint whoever wins."

- "I am not used to living in palaces. I have neither seen a palace nor lived in palaces all my life. So I will not live in a palace; I will go to Mustafa Kemal's Çankaya; I will live there. I will lead a modest life. I will be like you. I am already a modest person; I will continue to live as a modest person does.'

- "There was an earthquake in 2011. I came here during that earthquake, stayed for a night and met with the earthquake victims the next day. Twelve years have passed, and nearly 100 families still live in barracks. Last week my wife came here and met with those families. They rightly reproached me, asking where have you been until today. I promise to the people of Van; after I am elected President, I will first go to those families, solve all their problems, and then ask for their forgiveness."
