CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu: "None of us is the same anymore."

Republican People's Party Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu met yesterday at CHP Headquarters with the Kadıköy Municipality Search and Rescue Team, which participated in search and rescue operations in Hatay following the February 6 Kahramanmaraş earthquakes. CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu published a part of his speech at the meeting on his social media account today.

CHP leader Kılıçdaroğlu said, "None of us is the same anymore. I'm not the same person. Our soul is not the same anymore. So we must change to heal the deep wounds that have opened up inside us and never go through this pain again." In the video, which he shared with the note, he says the following in a part of the speech he made at the meeting in question:

"When I went to Kahramanmaraş, two little girls came: 'Our father is here, we can hear their voices, please save them.' There was a team from Istanbul. We told them. Two children, crying, asking for their father to be rescued. I learned later that their father could not be saved. Yes, you said, 'we are not the same people'. People who have experienced pain and people who have witnessed pain carry them deep in their souls. None of us is the same."
