CHP Chairperson and Nation Alliance Presidential Candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu: "835,000 People Will Be Directly Employed"

CHP Chairperson and Presidential Candidate of the Nation Alliance Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu said, "We will turn İskenderun and Mersin ports into the world's largest and most advanced ports using high technology. We will provide direct sea access to 46 countries from these ports within seven days. The region will have its unique law, where international law is completely valid. Eight hundred thirty-five thousand people will be directly employed."

CHP Chairperson and Presidential Candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu said on his social media account this evening, "Mr Kemal's Dashboard-4. There is an urgent need to douse the fires immediately, but we also need a vision to enrich our people in the medium term. Fires can be doused, but a different mindset is needed for development. This can only be achieved with champions league human resources and plenty of foreign investment. And only we have that." He made the following statements in the video he shared with the note:

"My dear people, I am addressing you again before my dashboard.

I will make Turkey a country that competes with the world. We will produce the technologies of the future today. They impoverished our people with the lies of competitive exchange rates and cheap labour. Those who work with honour are crushed under the cost of living. Turkey is not the world's cheap labour repository. Turkey is not the refugee camp of the West either. We will not allow this anymore.

How will we do this? First, we will quickly get our country out of this crisis with common sense and brilliant minds. To reach lasting prosperity, we have to produce new technologies and complete industrial transformation. We are in a new era, so making a tremendous industrial breakthrough and delivering high technology is necessary. Moreover, we must train our young people in this direction and provide them employment.

We will declare a special economic zone covering Adana and Mersin provinces. This zone consists of 5 main clusters covering 1 million decares of land. We will establish High-Quality Metal Refineries, Financial centres, High Technology and Informatics clusters, Automotive clusters, and Biochemistry and Biotechnology Areas. This project is significant for the recovery and reconstruction of our cities after the 6 February earthquake that affected 11 provinces. We will produce very light and durable, easy to assemble and new-generation construction materials. We will establish new industries. We will create jobs for the people of the region to return.

Using high-tech, we will turn Iskenderun and Mersin ports into the world's largest and most advanced ports. We will provide 46 countries with direct sea transport from these ports in 7 days. The region will have its unique law, where international law is entirely valid. In addition, 835.000 people will be directly employed.

All our industrial investments will be based on the 'Equator Principles', which include the world's most advanced environmental criteria. All facilities will be designed following green production. We will act with clean energy, clean production and clean investment.
