CHP Chairperson and Presidential Candidate of the Nation Alliance Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu addressed the voters abroad

CHP Chairperson and Nation Alliance Presidential Candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu addressed the voters abroad with a video he shot on his election bus.

Stating that they are aware of the problems of those living abroad and that their solution is ready, CHP Chairperson and Presidential Candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu said: "We will make Turkey a country in harmony with the democratic world, strong, where human rights are protected, and the reputation of its Passport is high. We have achieved the consensus needed for this in political and social life. As the Nation Alliance, we have taken on a huge task. Your single vote is vital for the future of Turkey and our nation. Come and have your share, your labour, your efforts in the transformation we need for a fair Turkey that competes with the rich world and whose young people are hopeful."

CHP leader and Presidential Candidate Kılıçdaroğlu said on his social media account, "I am calling out to our citizens who will vote from abroad. I invite you all to our Halil İbrahim Table (flowing with milk and honey) to bring spring to our country and carry Turkey's reputation to the highest level. Hear our special promises for you. You have responsibility for the recovery of the country." In the video he shared with the note, he addressed the voters abroad as follows:

"Dear people,

We set out not to rest. We are tirelessly travelling our beautiful country from province to province, meeting with our nation. Right now, I am addressing you from our election bus. But, unfortunately, we have little time; we have a lot of work.

Today I would like to address our citizens abroad.

Germany, France, Austria, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Greece, Bulgaria, Georgia, Iraq, Iran, Azerbaijan... I want to remind our citizens living in every corner of the world, from China to Russia, from Japan to Egypt.

Wherever you are, I know your heart is beating with our country. I know that when Turkey is well, you are well, and when Turkey is terrible, your heart aches. You may have migrated from Turkey at a certain period of your life. Maybe you were not even born in Turkey. But I know very well that the love for your homeland passed down from generation to generation keeps you close to your land.

The crises Turkey is pushed into, the injustices paralysing life, the usurped welfare, the polarising politics... As a result of all these, poverty is getting deeper and deeper. Our social cohesion and unity are deteriorating. Under the palace rule, young people cannot see a future for themselves in Turkey. If you ask any young person, they want to go abroad. Because they have turned the country into a nest of favouritism, meritlessness and injustice. Whether you live in Turkey or not, this is your homeland. As the proverb says, you may return to your homeland one day. Some of you may dream of retirement, and some are ready to return. For this, you may be waiting for the country to improve, for the economy to recover, and for freedom to come to the country. One way or another, you, as citizens, have a say in the future of this country. In the elections to be held on 14 May, the voting process for you in the representative offices started today. You can vote in 177 representative offices in 74 countries or at any customs gate until 9 May.

We know your problems too, and our solutions are ready. Listen, we will create a constituency abroad for you to have a strong presence in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. In other words, you will elect your deputies among yourselves and send them to the parliament. In addition, we will ensure that the restrictions imposed on you when you retire in Turkey and work in another country are removed and your pensions are improved.

You will be able to benefit equally from health services in Turkey. We will eliminate the grievances that may arise in implementing the Automatic Information Sharing Agreement, which was implemented by ignoring you. We will extend the stay in Turkey for your car that you use abroad. We will reduce the expensive airline ticket prices to reasonable levels. We will extend the usage period of the mobile phones you brought to Turkey. We will solve the problems of our Blue Card holders by providing equal opportunities to our citizens.

And we will take many more steps as long as you are happy when you come to Turkey and your homeland.

We will make Turkey a strong country in harmony with the democratic world, a country where human rights are protected, and the reputation of its Passport is high. We have achieved the consensus needed for this in political and social life. As the Nation Alliance, we have undertaken a great task. Your single vote is vital for the future of Turkey and our nation.
