CHP Leader and Nation Alliance Presidential Candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu in Giresun: ‘Hazelnut will never fall below 4 dollars’

Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairperson and Nation Alliance Presidential Candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu participated in a rally organised in Giresun today together with Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş.

CHP Chairperson and Presidential Candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu said, "A stranger earns billions of dollars from the hazelnuts we produce. But the Black Sea people who produce these hazelnuts cannot earn. Why? I said, 'You have connected everything to the dollar. The bridge toll is in dollars; you buy everything in dollars and pay yourself a salary in dollars. So let's make this hazelnut into dollars too. It costs $4 per kilo...' A large part of it, 90 per cent of it, is exported. So it is also an export product. Then you make it 4 dollars, which will be a fixed price, so the producer knows very well how much he will earn every year and how much he will produce. My promise, Mr Kemal's promise, this hazelnut will never fall below 4 dollars."
