Republican People's Party Chairman and Nation Alliance Presidential Candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu celebrated the 108th anniversary of Çanakkale Victory with a video message shared on his social media account.

"Happy 108th anniversary of our 18 March Çanakkale Victory, the great epic of our freedom and independence," said CHP Chairman and Presidential Candidate of the Nation Alliance Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

CHP leader and Presidential Candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu said, "Happy 108th anniversary of our 18 March Çanakkale Victory, the great epic of our freedom and independence. I commemorate all our martyrs, especially our Great Leader, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who created this unprecedented epic, with respect, mercy and gratitude."

"Today is 18 March. Today is the symbolic date of that great war in which we stopped the world's greatest military power in Çanakkale exactly 108 years ago. Today is the day our ancestors said to the invaders at the cost of their lives, 'this is it; you cannot go beyond; you cannot touch my children'. Today is when the Turkish nation proved to itself, not only to the day, what it is capable of, and saw its strength. Today, we are on the 108th anniversary of the Çanakkale Battles, in which Mustafa Kemal appeared on the historical stage. Tens of thousands of soldiers were martyred in the Çanakkale Battles, which lasted for nearly a year. These are not sufferings than any nation other than ours could endure.

For the first time in the history of the Republic, we are experiencing similar destruction and loss due to an earthquake. Today, too, we are facing a pain that no nation other than ours can easily overcome. But let us not forget: This nation survived despite all the pain and difficulties in Çanakkale and its aftermath. They worked day and night, relentlessly and tirelessly. And finally, under the leadership of a brilliant leader, the young Republic could heal its wounds quickly. We will succeed too. We will also work hard, and together we will overcome the destruction we are experiencing today. We will all win and share what we have won fairly. We will face the difficulties together and rebuild a country that is an example to the world shoulder to shoulder, without leaving anyone out. This is our debt to those who built this country and our children!

May the souls of all our martyrs and the people we lost in the earthquake rest in peace."
