CHP Chairperson and Presidential Candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu: "Whenever the Palace realises that it will lose the elections, it starts to label Kurds as terrorists. It is embarrassing indeed. Millions of Kurds are now being treated as terrorists. Trolls are labelling Kurds as terrorists to humiliate me. They are alienating our people from the state. For what? For three or five votes. There is a destiny that makes Turks and Kurds siblings. Fate brought us together. Fate told us to be siblings. I will never, ever allow anyone to harm this fraternity for three or five votes. We are close."
Republican People's Party Chairperson and Nation Alliance Presidential Candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu made the following statements in the video he shared tonight on his social media account with the note "Kurds":
"Dear people;
In recent years, whenever we talk about elections, whenever the palace realises that it will lose the elections, collective stigmatisation and terrorist treatment of Kurds begins. It is shameful, really shameful. Millions of Kurds are being treated as terrorists every day without stopping.
Every day they spend millions of liras on social media trolls. Those trolls treat Kurds as terrorists to humiliate me. They alienate our people from the state. For what? For a few votes. They are not ashamed; they really are not embarrassed. Can you play with the dignity of millions of people to slander Mr Kemal? For God's sake, tell me, is it possible to play with the dignity of millions of people?
My dear people, do not be fooled by their propaganda. Remember our fraternal law. Remember. There is a destiny that makes Turkish and Kurdish siblings. Fate brought us together. Fate told us to be siblings. Destiny brought us together in Çanakkale, Sakarya and Dumlupınar. There is no love as deep as fraternal love. We have stayed together for centuries and lived together; none of us has ever walked our path alone. I will never, ever allow anyone to harm fraternity for three or five votes. We are close."
