CHP Leader and Presidential Candidate Kılıçdaroğlu in Burdur: "We will win in the first round and make history in Turkey"

Republican People's Party Chairperson and Nation Alliance Presidential Candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu said, "Yes, there are make-ups for this election. However, this election neither needs an accident nor make-up. We will win in the first round and make history in Turkey."

CHP Chairperson and Nation Alliance Presidential Candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu met with citizens in Burdur today after his rally in Eskişehir. Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş accompanied CHP Chairman and Presidential Candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu at his Burdur rally.

CHP leader and Presidential Candidate Kılıçdaroğlu said the following in his speech at the Burdur Nation Meeting organised in Cumhuriyet Square:

First of all, thank you from the bottom of my heart. How are you, are you all right? Are you in a good mood? We will reach better and better days together. I promise to bring spring to this country. I will bring peace to this country, peace. For God's sake, aren't we tired of fighting? Aren't we tired of segregation, for God's sake? Doesn't unemployment hurt us? It does. They made this country in need of onions. I'll solve all these problems. I swear to God, and I'll solve them.

On my way to Burdur, I calculated how many young people would go to the polls and vote for the first time in Burdur. Since I am an expert in calculations, I did the analysis. 14,258 young people will go to the polls and vote for the first time. Dear young people, do you want democracy, do you want law, do you want rights, do you want justice, do you want love? Then it is in your hands to change the destiny of Turkey. I want 14,258 young people to vote for democracy, rights, and law. Promise? I also commit Burdur and the young people of Burdur. All your pains and troubles will also be my pains and troubles. I will only be comfortable once you are comfortable. I will never say I am at peace until you are at peace. I will fight for you. Believe me; I will fight for you.

Sir, on my way here... In August 2021, a fire broke out in Bucak Çobanpınar, and two houses burned down. In August 2021, they promised, they said, 'We will build these houses.' August 2021, August 2022, now it is 2023. These houses are still not built. I was told this: 'For God's sake, vocalise this; maybe they will hear our voice because they listen to you. Maybe they will come and build our houses.' Don't worry, my brother in Çobanpınar... They can't; they can't. They give the money to the Gang of Five. Therefore, they cannot build your house. They will even take the morsel in your hand if they can. I will come, build those houses, and deliver them to you. Don't worry.

If we want justice, we have to ask for justice without discrimination. Justice is the religion of the state. The Almighty Creator built the universe on justice. You will not deviate from justice; you will not discriminate against people based on their identities or beliefs, and not marginalise anyone. A human being is the most exalted being created by the Almighty Creator. Therefore, respecting people and discriminating between people is not in our book.

You've just listened to Mansur Mayor. He helps everyone, whether they voted for him or not. We don't ask if you voted for me or not. It's a shame on humanity if you ask such a question. If he's hungry, you'll help him. I promise to this country, I promise from Burdur Square, I promise to the Republic; no poor person in this country will have their electricity cut off, their natural gas cut off, their water cut off. Electricity, natural gas and water will not be cut. They cut the natural gas of thousands of people. I visited those families. A widow, a woman with two children and no money, couldn't pay for the natural gas, so they cut off the gas. What will this mother do? For God's sake, can you tell me what she will do? Our two children, they are our children too. Which mother wants her child to stay in the cold? Which mother wants her child to be malnourished. I will solve all of these problems.

I will solve the existing problems. I will give red diesel to the farmer, without SCT, without VAT. We will provide cheap fertiliser to farmers; we will offer cheap seeds to farmers. We will do all these. We will erase the interest on farmers' debts to Ziraat Bank, banks and agricultural credit co-operatives. When I say these things, they immediately come out and ask in chorus, 'O Kılıçdaroğlu, where will you find the money? When it comes to the gangs of five, money is plentiful; you give them all kinds of money. I will not give it to the gang of five; I will give it to the people; I will give it to the farmers; I will give it to the producers; I will give it to the tradespeople; I will give it to the industrialists. Great effort is valuable, and Great effort s sacred. Whoever labours, you have to compensate them for their labour. If children in this country go to bed hungry, or if mothers cannot feed their children, or if they wonder what they can put in the lunch box for their children going to school, if they worry whether their children will go hungry today, this is the shame of the political institution. It is not the shame of that family. It is the failure to fulfil the understanding they call the social state.

Therefore, dear mothers, I will introduce Family Support Insurance. Children in any household will only go to bed hungry. Every mother will send her child to school in peace. There will be no lunch box. He will go to school and eat his water, milk and food with his peers and friends. He will eat in peace and come home full. Because I have met such families, my dear brothers and sisters from Burdur, I have seen and listened to mothers who give their children tomato paste between bread. We need to solve their problems. If a child is hungry, we are all hungry. If a child is in the dark, we are all in the night. If a child is in the cold, we are all in the cold. With Family Support Insurance, all families with no income or whose income is below the minimum wage will receive at least the minimum wage every month in the woman's bank account. No other than the social state will ever know about her poverty and deprivation. Therefore, she will go to the bank, withdraw her money like a labourer, civil servant or pensioner, and provide for her children. Wherever there is a family doctor, there will also be social workers. Ninety-nine per cent of these will be women. They will go to the houses; they will meet with those families, and they will prepare a report according to how many children there are in that family, whether they live in rented houses, whether they own their own houses, whether they have income or not, whether they have children going to university. Following this report, money will be deposited into the bank account of the woman in that family. Thus, the left hand will not see what the right hand gives. No one's poverty will not be the subject of exploitation. We will do this.

When I told some mothers about this, they said, 'Can we open an account in a participation bank? Can you open a gold account for us as much as the minimum wage?" By God, by God, Mr Kemal's promise; if you say gold account, I will open a gold account as long as the number does not change, you will go and get it. We will not make anyone dependent on anyone else. The state will be the guarantee of women. The state will be the security of women because the housewife is the woman who suffers the most significant difficulties. If there is a problem in the family, mothers know that problem best. Even when we asked for pocket money, we couldn't tell our father; we would tell our mother about all our troubles. We couldn't even ask our father for pocket money; we would ask our mother if our father would give us pocket money. Therefore, the relationship between mother and child is special. And mothers always want to see their children in perfect places. If there is unemployment, if a child who graduated from university is unemployed, if his parents took him to the university by cutting his throat and educated him, and if this child passes the exams but is eliminated in the oral exam, in the interview, if his right is violated, I will ask for his account. Mr Kemal will ask for his account too. I will not allow anyone to be wronged, and I will make those who are wronged pay for it. You will give me this opportunity.

Look, your lake is drying up. I used to know the old version of that lake. There is a world-famous bird there; I knew it very well. I also listened to the ships on the edge of that lake; I know that too. But why is this lake drying up, and what can we do in these dry areas? Can we make solar energy? When we make solar energy, we will give electricity to farmers for free. I'll repeat it; we will provide free electricity to farmers. I have been to Şanlıurfa; there are 2.5 million hectares of stony land. 2.5 million hectares. The farmers complained that they couldn't pay for the electricity; they came and cut the electricity, and they couldn't irrigate the fields. So I said, give us the mayorship of Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality, and we will provide free electricity to all farmers within two years at the latest. They said, 'Why don't you do it?' Our Mayor of Bozkurt Municipality in Denizli did it. He gives electricity to farmers for free. Our Mayor of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality is here; he also did it and gives electricity to farmers free of charge. So it is happening. If you buy petrol, you pay dollars; if you purchase natural gas, you pay dollars; if you bring coal, you pay dollars. God's sun is free; you don't pay dollars or euros. God's sun is free; you will install the panels and get electricity. Neither dollars nor euros will go. Because the dollar lobby does not want it, the euro lobby does not; the natural gas lobby does not, and the oil lobby does not. They are exploiting you. I will never allow exploitation. God's sun is free, we will get electricity from that sun, and we will give electricity to farmers for free, don't worry.

Rents... Rents are increasing. Currently, the most common case in the courts is between the landlord and the tenant. The landlord says, "You cannot live with this rent; you will increase the rent..." The tenant says, "My wage is certain; how can I pay your rent?" Thousands of rent cases are going on right now. Have you ever thought about why TOKİ was established? Why was the Housing Development Organisation (TOKİ) established? It was found to build cheap housing for middle-income families. For God's sake, you look at TOKİ; it is busy with other things. If they had built houses for low-income families, middle-income families, there would be no rent problem. Instead, it goes and does other things. I will return TOKI to its foremost duty, just like we will replace the Red Crescent. The Red Crescent will not sell tents; the Red Crescent will not pull other tricks.

Mr Kemal has one more promise. While thousands of our children, millions of our children, are unemployed and looking for work, those travelling around the palace and his entourage receive salaries from 5 places, 6 places, seven places; I will cut them all.

Now there are these Gangs of Five. I am the number one enemy of the gang of five, 'How can we not get Kılıçdaroğlu elected?' The whole trick is based on this. They are trying to see what slander we can throw, what we can do. And they realised that there was no result, now they are taking their money abroad. I know where they took it, which bank they deposited it in, to the penny, to the cent. I will bring all of that money to Turkey, all of it! I will get all the money you stole and took to Turkey! They say, 'Sir, there is an international court, and the international court will not allow...' No court in the world will allow a state to be robbed. A social state is not a state that feeds those who steal. A social state is a state that feeds the hungry. Only in a country where everyone is fed can there be peace; only then can there be prosperity. This needs to be done.

From time to time, you also watch our social media accounts; Mansur President also mentioned it; they question our nationalism from time to time. For God's sake, 34 of our soldiers were martyred in Syria. It was Russia that shot them. For God's sake, who went to Putin's door two days later and waited for minutes? He is giving me a lesson on nationalism! It was our soldiers who died, our martyrs who were martyred; it was Russia who shot them. Russia needs to apologise to us. It needs to say 'I'm sorry we did it'. He rushed to Putin's door. Putin kept him waiting at his door; he started the stopwatch and showed the world how many minutes he kept the President of the Republic of Turkey waiting. Then the man said, 'Sir, he is a world-class man'. It is true. No other President waited so long at the door of another country's President and was exposed to the world with a stopwatch. Mr Kemal will never allow this. Mr Kemal will protect his soldier and his army. Mr Kemal will also preserve his security forces. Mr Kemal will say, 'Terrorism is a crime against humanity wherever and from whomever it comes from' and will fight against terrorism to the last drop.

I know sociologists; I have just told you that we will appoint 20 thousand sociologists and social workers when the Family Support Insurance comes.

Also, on the 100th anniversary of the Republic, we will appoint 100 thousand teachers. I will open all village schools, all village schools. Why did we close village schools? We stopped living in the villages. We will open village schools.

Some municipalities have been closed down, and they ask what you will do about them. We will hold a referendum in that municipality. If the people say our municipality should be opened, we will open it. If they say no, there is no need for a municipality, we will not open it. So we will leave the discretion to the nation. In other words, as the Millet Alliance, we continue our way with justice.
