CHP Leader and Presidential Candidate Kılıçdaroğlu in Kayseri: We have expanded the Central Turkey Project; we will connect the railway from Kayseri to Mersin and İskenderun

CHP Chairperson and Nation Alliance Presidential Candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu attended the rally organised in Kayseri Cumhuriyet Square today together with Ali Babacan, Chairman of the DEVA Party, Temel Karamollaoğlu, Chairperson of the Felicity Party and Mansur Yavaş, Mayor of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality.

CHP Chairperson and Presidential Candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu said the following in his speech here

- "Look, they have been promising high-speed trains for years, right? Everybody promises a high-speed train; everybody says they will build it. But, unfortunately, for 22 years, they could not do it. But remember, Mr Kemal, does not break his word when he promises that high-speed train will come here."

- "If you do not connect Kayseri to the sea by railway, you cannot achieve the performance we expect in exports. We will also connect the railway from Kayseri to Mersin and Iskenderun. We have expanded the Central Turkey Project; we will turn the line from Samandağ to Mersin into the largest production base in the Mediterranean. As a result, Turkey will become a country that competes with the world. And a Turkey whose universities produce advanced knowledge. A Turkey that takes important steps in technology."

- "I know the schemes going on in Turkey. I say, 'I will bring 418 billion dollars and put it in the people's pockets.' They object; they say, 'You cannot bring the money. Do not worry; your brother knows all those who took the money. I know the banks they deposited it. I know America; I know England. I know where they live and the banks they deposit their money. I will bring them one by one, to the last cent; I will deliver this to the owners, one by one.

- "There is money for the gang of five, there is money for those who take the money, there is money for cronies, but there is no money for pensioners. I will take money from those gangs of five and give it to the pensioners, don't worry. Justice is not only in the courtroom. There is justice in every aspect of life. There is no justice if you give pensioners a salary below the hunger limit. I do not determine the hunger limit; TÜRK-İŞ does. You give pensioners a pension below the hunger limit. A pensioner is a person who starts working at a young age, produces, labours and pays his premium, retires when the time comes and tries to live a decent life. He worked for years, and contributed to Turkey's growth and development. You left the pensioner to hunger. We will not let you do that. We will condemn the gang of five to hunger, but not the citizens." - "I did not do unrighteousness. I worked in the state for 27.5 years. The day I was elected, I would take money from those gangs of five and give it to the pensioners, don't worry about it. Justice is not only in the courtroom. There needs to be justice in every aspect of life. There is no justice if you give pensioners a salary below the hunger limit. I do not determine the hunger limit; TÜRK-İŞ does. You give pensioners a pension below the hunger limit. A pensioner is a person who starts working at a young age, produces, pours sweat, pays his premium, retires when the time comes and tries to live a decent life. He worked for years, and contributed to Turkey's growth and development. You condemned the pensioner to hunger. We will not let you do that. We will condemn the gang of five to hunger, but not the citizens."

- "I did not do unrighteousness. I worked in the state for 27.5 years. Then, the day I entered politics, I announced all my assets to the public. This is all I have. I earned it with the sweat of my brow."

- "Politics is not a field of enrichment. If a person is enriching himself in politics, he is getting rich. Politics is a means of serving the people, not a means of enrichment. I know where they took their wealth. I know they built a 35-storey skyscraper in Manhattan. I know they bought Muhammad Ali Clay's farm. I know they took their worldly wealth abroad. I will bring all of it, all of it! I will bring all that was stolen from this nation!"

- "I will take the Tank Pallet Factory and give it to our glorious army. As they say, 'We are nationalists...' They sold the $20 billion Tank Pallet Factory to the Qatari army. I will buy, I will buy, I will buy that factory and give it to our army; no one should worry."

- "GATA, Gülhane Military Medical Academy... They closed all military hospitals. Our army is the only army in the world without a hospital. We are almost there; we will open all those hospitals; I will hand over all of them to our army."
