CHP Leader Özel Assessed the Constitutional Court's Can Atalay Decision: Every minute it is not implemented disgraces Türkiye to the world

Özgür Özel, Chairperson of the Republican People's Party (CHP), commented on the Constitutional Court's second violation of rights verdict against Can Atalay, Hatay MP of the Workers' Party of Türkiye (Labour Party of Turkey), saying, "Undoubtedly, this verdict, like the previous ones, must be implemented as soon as possible. Every minute that it is not implemented disgraces Türkiye to the world".

Republican People's Party Leader Özgür Özel attended the funeral ceremony of 22nd Term Mersin MP Ersoy Bulut at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. Answering the questions of journalists after the ceremony, Chairperson Özgür Özel evaluated the Constitutional Court's second violation of rights decision regarding TİP Hatay MP Can Atalay. CHP Chairperson Özgür Özel said:

"It really embarrasses me to be addressed to these questions, but it does not embarrass some people to keep everyone in Turkey busy with this agenda. Is it possible to ask a clock, "The clock is accurate. What will you say"? The clock has shown the right time, but those who have made mistakes, those who constantly embarrass Türkiye, those who have made Turkey a controversy both at home and in the world, should take a lesson from the decisions of this Supreme Court. Today it is the Constitutional Court. Again the clock has shown the time correctly, "The clock has shown the time correctly. What do you have to say?’ It is necessary to ask those who distort the truth, those who do not accept the rule of law, and those who constantly debate Türkiye. Undoubtedly, this decision, like the previous ones, must be implemented as soon as possible. Every minute it is not implemented disgraces Türkiye to the world."
