Condolence Letter from CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad

Republican People's Party Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu wrote a letter of condolence to Syrian Arab Republic President Bashar al-Assad for the earthquakes centred in Kahramanmaraş.

The letter states, "The great earthquake disaster we experienced on February 6 has affected Syria and our country and caused great pain." CHP Leader said, "I have been visiting the region for about fifteen days and trying to help my people. However, I would like you to know that we also feel the loss of our country and the neighbouring Syrian people in our hearts."

CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu concluded his letter with the following remarks: "As this disaster and the pain we have experienced show once again, we are partners and neighbours in our grief, we share the common pain of our peoples. Therefore, I take this opportunity to express my condolences to you and your people and hope that we will not share our sorrows but our hopes in the future."
