Kılıçdaroğlu in Hatay: Bureaucrats want to work, but some put obstacles in their way

CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu made a statement in Hatay, which experienced the most severe consequences of the 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes centred in Kahramanmaraş. "We are facing a much heavier picture than the news," said the CHP leader, adding, "Bureaucrats want to work; some put obstacles in their way."

CHP leader's statements are as follows:

"The images and news reflected on television are very different from the realities we face in the field. We are facing a much heavier picture. People are wailing. I see that image; I want to express it open-heartedly: State institutions and bureaucrats actually want to work, but some put obstacles in front of them. Some set different preferences in front of them. And this prevents the state from operating smoothly.

We came here today with our metropolitan mayor's friends.

Of course, we are sad; we are angry. There is a problem, yes. We want to solve the problem together, yes. Some people should avoid creating obstacles for those who want to solve the problem. We are determined to bring all of these cities to their feet; we really are. When we struggle together, we will definitely achieve this result. There are many things to say; we will discuss them when the time and place comes. Of course, we are sad; we are angry. But I also want to express that we will solve this problem. Thank you."
