CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu: "After this time, the only thing we have to be afraid of is the fear itself."

CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu expressed that the ruling party threatens earthquake victims with housing commitments and that they are only concerned with the elections and added, "They threaten people under the pretence of housing commitments. They are saying, 'If we leave, if you don't give us one more year, you will be homeless and destitute'. I am telling you frankly; they are lying. They threaten our people over the most fundamental human right, the right to accommodation. This is exactly what they are doing. Because they are the blackmailers. The only thing we need to be afraid of from now on is the fear itself. No one should surrender to fear. Remember, no one can threaten you over the right to accommodation... Turkey is waiting for us. We have a lot of work to do together, my people. You deserve much more than accommodation and will get what you deserve."

Republican People's Party Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu posted a video on his social media account with the post "Let's meet here in 27 minutes", which includes the statement he announced that he would make today at 23:00. When CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu could not publish the video on time due to internet problems, he said, "We will fix this internet in Turkey, I promise. See you in 10 minutes," he wrote.

In the video he shared with the message, "The only thing we should be afraid of after this time is fear itself," CHP leader Kılıçdaroğlu stated that the government threatened the earthquake victims who lost their homes in the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes under the guise of promising accommodation:

"WE FEEL GUILTY FOR EVERY BITE THAT PASSES DOWN OUR THROATS"

"This evening, I felt the need to address a few issues. So I will take a few minutes of your time with your permission. We are going through a tough time, and we are all experiencing our pain in different ways. We have been talking about the earthquake for days. We sleep with the quake, and we wake up with the earthquake. Our minds are always on the region. We cannot sleep properly. We are suffering the remorse of conscience for every bite that passes through our throats. It's food. The people from the palace have shoved pick a bit. So much bitterness has accumulated inside us, too much for a human being to handle. But every year, when we thought things couldn't get any worse, they showed us that they could get even worse.

"WE NEED TO BE CAREFUL WHAT WE TALK ABOUT, WHAT WE WATCH AROUND OUR CHILDREN"

Today, we are mourning for those we have lost. But let's be honest; we are also apprehensive about our loved ones. We keep thinking about what happens if something worse happens. Because their only concern is the election, they only care about it.

The transition from the slogan 'Century of Turkey' to 'Disaster of the Century' happened in the blink of an eye. These people, who set out with the claim that 'this century of the world is ours', still could not deliver tents to their citizens on the 19th day of the earthquake. It could not distribute five masks during Covid-19. He couldn't fly an aeroplane during the forest fire. So, naturally, all these have bankrupted the economy.

Has 'Turkey's Century' become a 'Century of Disaster' for you? Yes, it has. I know everyone will not hear my message because we live in a profoundly polarised country. But I will tell you anyway.
