CHP Chairperson and Presidential Candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu:

-"Politics can not be done by threats and blackmailing. Especially not against Ms. Akşener. Ms. Akşener is a leader who is experienced and knowledgeable in politics and will not give in to any blackmail."

Republican People's Party Chairperson and Nation Alliance Presidential Candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu visited IYI Party Istanbul Provincial Chairmanship, where an armed attack took place and conveyed his get well wishes to IYI Party Chairwoman Meral Akşener.

CHP leader and Presidential Candidate Kılıçdaroğlu made the following statement to press members after the visit:

"Together, we see the consequences of the threatening language used in politics. Especially those who govern the state should pay attention to the language they use. One cannot do politics with threats and blackmail, especially not against Ms. Akşener. Ms. Akşener is a leader who is experienced and knowledgeable in politics and will not give in to any blackmail. Therefore, I wish her and her party colleagues a speedy recovery. I would also like to sincerely thank our police and the police organization for capturing the person who used the gun and opened fire."
