Republican People’s Party Chairperson Özgür Özel attended the congress of the Party of European Socialists (PES) held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. CHP leader Özel met with former Swedish Prime Minister and leader of the Swedish Social Democratic Party Magdalena Andersson, leader of the Belgian Socialist Party Paul Magnette, and former President of the European Social Democratic Party of Moldova Ion Sula.

Republican People’s Party Chairperson Özgür Özel also met with Antti Lindtman, leader of the Finnish Social Democratic Party; Roberto Gualtieri, Mayor of Rome from Italy’s Democratic Party; and Conner Rousseau, Chairperson of Belgium’s Flemish Vooruit Party, during the PES congress in Amsterdam. CHP’s presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu’s video message sent to the PES Congress through his wife Dilek İmamoğlu was played during the meeting, and CHP leader Özel joined participants in giving Ekrem İmamoğlu a standing ovation.
