Republican People’s Party (CHP) Chairperson Özgür Özel in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus…

Republican People’s Party Chairperson Özgür Özel visited the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of its founding, where he paid respects at the memorial tombs of Dr. Fazıl Küçük, the leader of the Turkish Cypriots, and Rauf Raif Denktaş, the Founding President of the TRNC.

CHP Chairperson Özgür Özel met with Ziya Öztürkler, Speaker of the TRNC Assembly, as well as Ünal Üstel, Prime Minister of the TRNC and leader of the National Unity Party (UBP).

Özgür Özel also visited the headquarters of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP), where he met with CTP Secretary General Erkut Şahali and party officials.

In addition, CHP Chairperson Özgür Özel held meetings with Serdar Denktaş, Chairperson of the Social Justice and Struggle (TAM) Party, and Zeki Çeler, Chairperson of the Communal Democracy Party (TDP), during his visit to the TRNC.

Finally, Özgür Özel attended the Republic Day Reception hosted by TRNC Assembly Speaker Ziya Öztürkler as part of his visit marking the 42nd anniversary of the TRNC.
